I’ve been attempting to get a “floating dust mote” effect (also in my mote01 sketch). While this sketch still isn’t that exactly, it does solve some other problems I’ve been working on, notably getting additive blending working in OpenGL.
I ran across some Processing sketches by W:Blut that had the glow effect I was after, and was able to pick them apart for my work. So most of the credit for the openGL glowy stuff goes to him! See his work HERE (very nice).
In this sketch, glowing particles are emited at the top left corner of the screen, and slowly move to the right while falling. You can camera control as well, thanks to the PeasyCam library.
